Visiting relatives

What traditions have you not kept that your parents had?

Many people today find they don’t keep up with certain traditions their parents practiced, especially regarding visiting relatives.

Every other weekend was spent visiting relatives spending the whole day or half day talking or playing with my cousins. Once their kids had grown up and had families of their own today. Their parents have gotten old, the frequency of visiting relatives is lesser too. Their parents, I see on the temple visit as I go to pray…the part that I had the most, when these relatives are in coffins is the time we pay our respects? What is the point of visiting them in their coffins waiting to be cremated is called the so-called family gathering….why can’t I have frequent visits when they are alive?

The favourite phase of the aunties that contribute to this saying is busy schedules, geographical distance, and changing social norms can make it harder to maintain regular visits. In previous generations, it was more common to have close-knit extended families that frequently gathered for meals, holidays, and special occasions. This consistent interaction helped maintain strong familial bonds and a sense of community.
