How would you design the city of the future?
The futuristic city will be designed with an advanced water drainage system, deep enough to handle heavy rainfall and effectively divert floodwaters through underground canals back to forests, rivers, dams, and the sea. Before constructing roads, a massive drainage infrastructure will be developed to ensure that water is quickly drained and redirected.
Each residential area will feature a unique design, allowing residents to cultivate their own gardens and manage their own drainage systems. Homeowners will have their own plots of land for growing food, equipped with security features like CCTV, electric barbed wires, and solar panels, eliminating the need to pay for electricity, water, phone, internet, income tax, or gas.
The houses will be self-sustaining, with rainwater collected, filtered, and recycled for daily use, while additional water will be sourced from dams.
Education is free, and even when crossing borders, parents are responsible for ensuring their children receive the best education across financial, emotional, spiritual, mental, and physical development. Children will be equipped with the skills needed to earn a living and fend for themselves, focusing on team-building and leadership roles.
Self-driving cars will be affordable and widely available, enabling residents to travel for work or leisure effortlessly. Homegrown produce can be sold to others under a licensed system, and the community will experience constant economic growth without inflation.
Jobs will be abundant, and crossing borders will be seamless with facial recognition technology, eliminating the need for passports.
Discrimination and unfair labor practices will be heavily penalized, leading to the bankruptcy of any company engaging in such behaviors.
In this society, there is no retirement age. People over 55 will continue to work for 6 hours a day and enjoy ample leisure time, staying active and healthy in a community free from illness. Younger and middle-aged individuals will contribute to the community through their work, with the opportunity to change jobs every five years as they advance to senior levels. Couples with growing families will receive the same benefits as the older population, fostering a balanced and thriving society.
The city will prioritize eco-forestry, preserving native practices and ensuring harmony between people and nature. Unused concrete structures will be deconstructed and returned to the forest, while land will be redistributed to the community if developers attempt to artificially inflate prices.
All work buildings must be fully utilized, with severe penalties imposed on developers and government officials responsible for poorly planned, unoccupied developments that harm the environment.
