The furthest I’ve ever been from home was in Endau Rompin, located in the central part of Pahang. Coming from the comfort of home, I found myself in the middle of nowhere, with only one thing on my mind: adventure.
I was thrilled to have been selected for this journey. The place was a dense jungle, but just in front of the construction site was a beautiful beach. It felt strange to build a resort on such a stunning beachfront.
However, there was something even stranger about the location—the resort was being built on an indigenous burial ground. As soon as darkness fell, usually after seven in the evening, ghostly images, like tall, dark shadows, would begin to appear.
Those who could see these apparitions would flee as quickly as possible. To make a long story short, what seemed like a beautiful resort turned into a nightmare.
The eerie and frightening atmosphere made it unbearable to work there after dark. In the end, I decided to quit and return home, not wanting to stay in what felt like a haunted resort.
