If you had to give up one word that you use regularly, what would it be?

I’ve always carried a deep fear of failure, and it has influenced everything I do, whether in the past or present. Being labeled a failure has always been a terrible experience for me because I was constantly criticized for not getting things right on the first try.

I often rebelled at the wrong time, in the wrong place, which left a lasting negative impact on me. This fear became a personal hell that I created for myself.In previous jobs, I received written warnings for not completing tasks perfectly the first time.

I was labeled as a failure, which made me uncomfortable working for employers who expected everything to be done flawlessly from the start. They’d tell me that the job was mine if I could just prove myself. But I’ve always felt like I was blindly leading myself, relying solely on my own resources to get tasks done.

These employers only provided a job and a paycheck, while their ‘perfect’ employees never seemed to make mistakes or face failure.I don’t understand the phrase, “getting it right the first time.”

To me, it’s a negative quote because it implies people don’t ever fail or make mistakes. I believe making mistakes is part of the learning process—it drives you to keep practicing until you improve.

Why is it acceptable to make a mistake once but frowned upon to make it again? Haven’t they ever realized that failure and mistakes are part of fine-tuning your skills?

I only ever seemed to succeed halfway in my tasks, and yet I managed to reach the peak of my chosen career. Was it ignorance or hard work that got me there?

When I finally realized that failure wasn’t a bad thing, I understood how toxic my previous environment was. For me, failure used to mean giving up instead of pushing through.

I see that picking myself up, doing it  again with different approaches, and staying focused is the key to overcoming obstacles. Once I accepted that, I felt a sense of relief and readiness to take on the next .”
