Assumption

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

What frustrates me most about people is how they jump to assumptions about me based on first impressions, which are often completely untrue. I hate having to make an impression on people I’ve never met, only for them to form baseless opinions about me.

This is why I avoid engaging with others or acting overly polite—it seems pointless when they’ll assume things regardless. Even my brother says things to hurt me that aren’t true, and distant relatives on my father’s side make assumptions without knowing me.

I don’t understand why first impressions matter so much when I don’t care about people’s opinions at all. I also avoid talking because I feel my words often come across negatively, which pushes people away. That’s why I don’t like saying “hi” or “bye” to anyone.
