Who is the most famous or infamous person you have ever met?
The most infamous aunt I had—her memory still sends a chill through me. Though she was cremated long ago, her presence lingers, as if a mysterious jinx remains, leaving us puzzled. What had we ever done to her to warrant this unease?
Even now, strange sounds drift through the house—crickets or unexplained noises echoing from the shadows, as if remnants of her influence refuse to rest.
Her ruthlessness and insecurities seemed to create a ripple of turbulence that affected all of us, bringing unnecessary challenges and shaping relationships in ways we could hardly understand.
Strangely, despite this, she was given a respectful send-off. But peace in the house was elusive, and I turned to prayer, hoping to cleanse our home of any lingering negativity she might have left behind.
Then, one night, a vivid dream came to me. In it, I was taken back to a time when family was whole, before divisions and bitterness had taken root. In the dream, I saw a box with a Tanjore painting of Vishnu and Lakshmi inside, and somehow I knew it held a dark presence. I was told this symbol carried a curse—a negative energy that had affected our family for generations, causing shifts in beliefs, broken bonds, and marriages outside the community.
A voice in the dream asked me a question: did I wish to continue on this path or strive for a higher spiritual level? In that moment, I chose clarity and guidance, asking for the strength to rise above and to protect my family from anything harmful.
With newfound determination, I knew what I had to do. I gathered every item connected to her legacy, things she’d gifted us, and brought them to the temple.
These offerings, now out of the house, could be respectfully handled by those who knew how to neutralize their energy. I was committed to purging whatever lingering influence her memory had cast.
And so, this is my tribute to her. Though she has passed, her legacy still holds a place in our family story—a reminder of the importance of resilience, of standing guard over the well-being of those we love. Her fondness to given odd ornaments to each of those households leave to question everything what is her intention and her intention were never good at all. It was all merely too decisive for everyone in the household by controlling them to her jealousy, enviously and hatred.

Now, with each prayer and step taken to reclaim peace, we carry on with renewed strength, grateful for the chance to build a future free from the shadows of the past.
