Who are the biggest influences in your life?

The greatest influence in life can often be criticism. Whatever others see in me is sometimes a reflection of themselves, which they perceive as me mimicking or copycatting them. People struggle to accept seeing their own reflection mirrored back, especially in the form of admiration. This can spark envy or even hatred, leading to behaviors similar to crabs in a bucket—pulling each other down to climb higher. This cycle seems to follow me wherever I go.
Criticism often stems from insecurities. By keeping me in their shadow, hidden and unheard, some find their own glory, rising above while reveling in their perceived success. They may go to great lengths to push me down, but I’ve come to realize that allowing their words and actions to affect me only leads to a deeper darkness.
The art of criticism can indeed be a destructive force if I continue to listen to their fabricated truths. Therefore, I must choose not to keep their words or the images they create in my mind. This is why it is essential to let go of hateful memories and move on. I forgive myself for holding onto these burdens and decide to release them.
Deleting these painful memories—replacing the blackness of negativity with light—is the best way forward. By creating new and positive associations, listening to uplifting audios, and resisting the temptations of dwelling on negativity, I can shift my focus. I’ve learned that even intrusive thoughts, like telepathy or imagined dialogues, can be redirected. A simple practice, like tapping to reset my thoughts, helps me let go and move forward.
It’s always best to avoid keeping memories of hurtful words or images, as holding onto them can lead to stress, sleepless nights, or even serious health issues like dementia. Instead, I choose to fine-tune my mind, release the past, and welcome positivity into my life. This way, I create a brighter, healthier, and more peaceful future for myself.
