Childhood books

Do you remember your favorite book from childhood?

My favorite book from childhood was Tenali Raman. The articulate, witty, and clever court jester could twist his questions into answers with such charm and humor that they left everyone amused. He was so smart that even the king enjoyed outwitting him at times. The stories were not just entertaining but taught me how wit and presence of mind can solve even the trickiest problems.

I loved the watercolor illustrations in Asterix and Obelix. As a child, I used to flip through the pages just to enjoy the pictures, often without reading the text. The colorful art and expressive characters brought the story to life on their own. What fascinated me most was the magic potion they drank—not for power or glory, but to protect their freedom and defend their peaceful little village from invaders. It taught me that courage and unity can come from the most unexpected places.
