What’s your #1 priority tomorrow?

My number one priority is to stop being lazy and stop putting off things or desires for another day. Doing things now instead of postponing them frees me from nightmares, pain, and regret. When I act immediately, I don’t have to live with the burden of unfinished business.

Sometimes I imagine being stuck in a ghost realm, surrounded by souls crying over the things they never finished — their undone work, unfulfilled dreams, and unrealized purpose. They realize too late, at their deathbed, that they didn’t do what they were sent here for. The noise, the screaming, the nagging all feel too familiar to me. I don’t want to live like that.

If tomorrow never comes, or if I die the next second, I don’t want to be the ghost of unfinished business. That’s why priority number one is to look at my life right now and see how I’m ruining it by my own choices — and change.

I love driving and wanted to earn extra by completing all my streaks for seven days in a row. I managed five days, but on the other two days I had to attend to personal emergencies — like taking my mother to her appointment. Life is unpredictable; I couldn’t have foreseen that. Even though I booked my schedule a week ahead, things still happened.

So, priority number one for me is to unruin my life — to take control where I can, act now, and let go of what I can’t control.
