Wandering mind

What technology would you be better off without, why?

“When the wandering mind is restrained and rests in its own stillness,
there arises a clarity beyond the senses,
a joy untouched by strain.” — Bhagavad Gita

E-books feel gentler on my small smartphone; the words sit calmly on the screen, and my eyes meet them without effort.
But reading on the laptop is another battle — scrolling through long pages stretches the nerves behind my eyes, forcing me to pull meaning out of every line.
Even downloading PDFs into Word becomes another web of entanglement, more layers to wrestle with just to read a single page.

Yet when I sit cross-legged with the Sadhguru app open, everything softens.
No strain, no struggle — just the guidance of breath and movement.
The videos carry me like a silent river, and for a moment I feel lifted out of the noise.

And then I ask myself:
What technology can I truly do without?
For all the devices around me, it is still simplicity that brings peace.
A small phone in my palm.
A practice that needs only my breath.
A stillness that no screen can replace.
